I haven't started to use it yet but I loved the price for a 2-pack (I bought a single one of another H&P notebook). Plus it came with the handy reference sheet. That was a plus. Looks like it will be EXTREMELY helpful once I start clinicals in the Spring for my NP program.

I'm a 3rd year medical student and I bought this and the basic medical clipboard everybody gets for rotations. positives = forces you to stay organized in a small amount of space, H&P template which is useful to make sure you don't forget anything, place to put all your lab values, assessment, and plan. negatives = has the same medical info as the clipboard, but comes as a separate paper. Also, if you have patient papers stuffed in the notebook they will probably fall out. so maybe get this and clipboard. overall it's just good for disorganized people like me, who tend to have messier and larger handwriting as the day goes on. I think I prefer this over the clipboard, but that's just me.

This product has been good to me!! I have used this for my ER rotation, family medicine rotation, and internal medicine rotation. I also used the provided PDF version for my pediatric rotation and behavioral medicine rotation. The space in the boxes to write meet my needs. I also like how concise yet thorough the actual note is, great for full physicals or focused notes. I am in my 2nd year of PA school, so I definitely recommend this product for PA, MD, NP, And DO students. Bonus: also comes with a normal values card!

As a 3rd year medical student, it has almost everything you need. Good for H&Ps (admits) but if you have to keep rounding on the admits, you may have to use multiple H&p as your daily soap notes. The only thing I would change would be be to add a daily progress section after each H&P.

I was looking for a notebook I could write my H&P as well as lab and imaging down to have for reporting and presentation purposes and this will work great.

I like the size of the book, the fact it contains more pages, and the print is still visible. I love that the laminated reference is folded so that it is small and can fit at the back or front of the book. What I usually do is use a paperclip to keep it attached to the book and then pull it out when needed.

This is a great book to use as a FNP student for clinical. If you're looking for something to keep you organized, then this is a good option.

Highly recommend this notebook for any medical student starting hospital rotations. As a third-year medical student, this notebook is an excellent guide for ensuring everything I need for an H&P is covered when I meet a patient. Not only are there plenty of pages, but they actually included space for labs and imaging results- something most of these notebooks omit. One of my residents actually asked to have the pages for a more complicated patient I saw because she was so impressed with the format. I was so pleased that the pages were perforated so I could easily hand her my notes- not something I actually thought I would care about! I never have reviewed items on Amazon before, but this notebook has been such a great purchase that I felt it was necessary.

Great product, but needs to be bigger print. Otherwise great product.

I've started using this thing on day 1 in med school rotations and it's been super helpful with organizing my notes and presentations into something coherent. It can be hard to remember the full details for an HPI on the spot, and this makes sure you're not smacking your forehead as you exit the patient room. This book + the 4-day SOAP book will keep you covered for both inpatient and outpatient settings.
